Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 2026

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as whether you're signed in — so you don't have to re-enter it each time.

What cookies does Smart use?

Smart uses only essential and functional cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any cookies that monitor your behaviour across other websites.

Essential vs non-essential cookies

Essential cookies are required for the platform to function. They keep you signed in and maintain your session. Under UK PECR and EU ePrivacy rules, essential cookies do not require your consent.

Functional cookies help us improve the service — for example, by recording errors anonymously so we can fix them. These are not used for advertising or tracking.

We do not use any non-essential cookies for marketing, profiling, or cross-site tracking. You will not see a cookie consent banner on Smart because we only set cookies that are strictly necessary or functional.

Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from staying signed in to Smart. For instructions, visit your browser's help section:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions

International users

This policy applies to all users of Smart regardless of location. For UK users, this policy complies with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). For users in the EU/EEA, it complies with the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR. For users elsewhere, we apply the same privacy-first standards globally.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as we add new features or third-party integrations. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do.
